Why I'm Dedicated To Belly Fat Loss
I was talking with a friend recently about belly fat, weight loss and this website. She wanted to give me some feedback. She said she really liked the site and had referred several friends to aflatbelly.com.They liked the site but they were wondering who the heck is this Zo Carroll guy anyways?
I was so focused on writing content for this site that I had not gotten around to giving much info on me. I want you to feel that you at least know a little about me so I guess it’s about that time. I won’t bore you with my whole life story so as the saying goes…here’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it!

As of this writing I’m 54 years old and I feel better today than I did 20 years ago. I get up with the intention of making each day the best day of my life. If you’re around my age I understand where you’re coming from when it comes to health issues. If you’re younger well…let’s just say I was your age once and hopefully my advice can make your getting older a healthier proposition.
I’ve been married to the same fantastic woman for over 20 years and we are parents of two wonderful kids-one in college and one in high school. We are like many parents who strive to provide the healthiest environment that we can for our family.
For as long as I can remember I wanted to be a doctor. I thought it would be really cool to help people feel better. I was a pre-med student when I got turned on to reading books on nutrition. Man, I started gobbling them up. I got so jazzed that I changed my major to nutrition education. Unfortunately my college decided to drop my nutrition program in my last semester of college. I was so upset that I dropped out of college. I never lost my love for nutrition however.
Being active has been such a big part of my life that it seems as natural as breathing. I grew up at a time when playing outside was just what every kid did. Kids were more active back then. I grew up playing baseball, running track, sucking at basketball and saw limited action as a varsity football player. My big sport was varsity wrestling. When I wasn’t playing a sport I was a student athletic trainer bandaging cuts and scrapes for the football team.
As an adult I continue to enjoy exercise. My wife Mary and I have run a marathon together as well as many smaller races. I’ve taught and competed in country-swing dance, performed with a country-swing dance team and a roller skate team. For years I competed in bodybuilding and my wife and I even competed in couples bodybuilding contests! I still enjoy hitting the weight room at least four days a week. We love to hike and take walks together.
I am a singer-songwriter and currently perform with a local blues band called the King Bees. Back in ’71-‘72, I performed around the world with Up With People. A few years back I won some national country music awards as the Male Entertainer of The Year and Male Vocalist of The Year. Music is what moves my soul. I am a huge horror movie fan and love hanging out with my wife and family.
Why am I a trainer and why have this site? I guess it all goes back to my wanting to do something to help people feel better. I don’t think anything’s more important than great health. If your health sucks-life sucks!!The reasons are pretty simple why I do what I do. I want you to feel the best you can feel! I want you to feel alive and vibrant! I want you to experience the joy of great health! I want to help you get there.
I wanted to share my message of health with you. I decided to do so through this website. I’ve been a professional fitness trainer for over 12 years now. I have also worked with corporations conducting wellness seminars for their employees. Most of the people I work with want help in losing weight. Most are middle aged and their bodies reflect it. They don’t mind growing older-they don’t want to look old, fat and worn out.
I get them focused on losing body fat as opposed to just focusing on weight. I targeted belly fat with this site because it's “killing fat.” You can’t have a bunch of belly fat and have great health. The two just don’t mix. I want to help people reduce belly fat while safely losing weight.
I have pulled information from my own experience as a trainer and certified sports nutrition specialist, as well as from a number of expert sources to bring you the latest, scientifically proven methods for safely eliminating body fat.
